Come and join us down in Cornwall

FAQ

Who do I share a room with?

All shared rooms will be same sex, if you are coming along with a friend let us know who you would like to share with. If you are travelling solo and would like to share a room, let us know and we’ll match you up with someone :) If you are coming as a couple, get in touch and we will let you know about how to book a double room for two people.

What kit do I need?

Whatever you are happy shooting with, this is your weekend. Your DSLR with a wide lens and longer lens would be handy so you can photograph from different perspectives but there is not judgement about kit here! You could think about a film camera or two to slow you down, your old polaroid, even shoot some video if you like! Alexa is still trying to decide which cameras to bring… A tripod will be super useful for slow shutter speed night time photography.

How many photographers will there be?

We have space for up to 12 photographers, so there will be a small and friendly atmosphere.

When shall I arrive?

You can arrive any time on Friday from 9am, settle in and explore. We know some of you will be travelling down during the day - there’s a cream tea waiting for you :) The first group activity will be welcome dinner in the evening where we can all get to know each other. On the Monday we will have a goodbye breakfast and then it will be time to head off.

What about food?

All of your meals, along with soft drinks and snacks are included with your ticket. Let us know about any dietary requirements.

How do I get there?

There is free parking at the cottages, and there are good rail links from London. We can help put you in touch with other retreaters in your area if you are looking to car share - bring on a roadtrip!

What happens if there is bad weather?

Unless there is snow and roads are closed the retreat will go ahead, interesting weather just makes interesting images, just bring appropriate clothing!

How do I book?

Tickets are on sale via Biletto, just choose which type of room you would like :

Please note, tickets are non refundable but you are able to sell them to someone else if you can no longer attend.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes of course! Our tickets are designed to pay 50% to book your ticket with the balance due at the beginning of February 2019.

Do let us know if you have any more questions via the contact page.
